BlasMo Music Studio and the Orange County Musicians Network (OCMN) is a non-profit cooperative with an ‘All For One, One For All’ mentality which basically means we all chip in to keep the place up and looking sharp as well as supporting one another with all musical endeavors.

We Ask All Members To Please Follow The “IF” Rule.

IF you borrow, return it.

IF you break it, replace it.

IF you make a mess, bla bla.

Follow the Golden Rule & try to leave the Mo how you found the Mo.

We have a capped membership policy. When that cap has been reached your membership becomes a valuable commodity and the transference thereof is the only way new memberships can be attained. Potential members might be vetted and must have a member recommendation. Blasmo is a designated Femme Safe Zone - All females will be respected at all times. This is a zero tolerance mandate which will be enforced with extreme prejudice if violated.

BlasMo Club Charter Facility Guest Policy

Full members are entitled to a "plus one" guest which enjoys all amenities but must have the member present to access club amenities. Blasmo members are afforded more liberal guest restrictions at each member's discretion. All first time guests may enjoy Blasmo facility amenities compliments of the club with the exception of special or private events. It is suggested that frequent returning guests obtain a membership (if available) or make a donation of $20.00 for non-sponsored guests and $10.00 (for member sponsored guests) in support of and to replenish the club amenities unless otherwise stated via special concession.

All Receivables Shall Be Distributed As Follows:

● Accounts payable/operating costs for the Blasmo facility. (lease-utilities-insurance etc)

● The expansion, upgrades, renovations of the Mo facility.

● To offset costs involved with affording Blasmonite members and founders a full complimentary 'backstage' pass for special club events, parties, concerts, workshops etc.

● The reimbursement to founders of all past and current expenses accrued for BlasMo operations in the form of monetary or in lieu of monthly dues.

● The creation of a 'cushion' rainy day bank account with the equivalent of at least three months operating costs with access deposited into the Artist Benefit Fund

BlasMonite Monthly Membership Dues - $200.00

All members in good standing that have and continue to pay full membership dues get keys to the facility as well as voting rights and enjoy 24/7 all access including exclusive passes to all events, parties, jams, workshops, outsourced concerts and shows. This also includes a plus one guest of their choosing. Musician members get priority stage time slots, pool players get prime pool table times. All 'reasonable' food and bar privileges are included as well as access to a personal storage locker. Full members may also book the club four times a year for personal use. (Parties, Events etc)

Blasmo Working Members

Musicians, Engineers, Bar & Security Staff who work studio parties and events and have access to club engagements at predetermined arrangements.

Blasmo Band Members Stage Rehearsal Access Policy

Many bands have formed through the Blasmo network of musicians and Blasmo musician members can enjoy stage access for rehearsing at dedicated bi-monthly or weekly time slots. This works on basically a hierarchical system where better time slots can be obtained and are dealt out as they become available. A Blasmo member may have band rehearsals twice a month but only if available.

If a band with two Blasmo members want that slot, the one member band must yield or have another band mate become a full Blasmo member. Bands with two full Blasmo members may have a dedicated weekly time slot. Bands with three full Blasmo members get to pick whatever time slots they wish, and so forth.

Given the current market cost of hourly rehearsal spots, this is an amazing value considering the benefits and amenities. The absolute minimum to be found is 10x15 for 35.00 an hour at three hour blocks. The bigger rooms run 45.00 to 55.00 and hour. Bands have to set up and break down within those times cutting the practice time to about 2.5 hours. Doing this once a week runs $420.00.

Two Blasmo memberships run $400.00 where you get a full three hours to rehearse in a space five times the size which includes a full plug and play back-line. There's also beer on tap, a full bar, sodas, seltzers, juices and a coffee/espresso machine. There's usually fresh fruit and always some sort of snacks which are included for full members.

Oh yeah, then there's your actual membership to the coolest underground private night club studio in SoCal. If one can find anything even close to this outrageous arrangement, one should grab it!

Keys to the Kingdom:

Full members are issued a key and may access and enjoy the club 24/7 at their leisure. Keys are issued on the honor system. A 20.00 refundable deposit is required and we do ask for its return.

Plus One:

Full members can claim a “plus one” at their discretion who can enjoy all club parties/events/showcases/clinics/workshops etc at no additional cost.

Bar Privileges:

Full members and plus one’s’ enjoy full ‘reasonable' access to the club bar, ale on tap & wine robot which is regularly stocked. If one drinks like a fish, we’d expect one to supplement one’s drinking supply. First time guests of members are always compliments of the house. Subsequent visits may utilize the bar but a donation is suggested, all though not required. We encourage members to have guests make donations (Lobby Orange Mailbox) based upon consumption and overall experience. Alternatively, returning member guests are welcome to BYOB.

We ask all members to please drink responsibly. For times when being responsible is not an option, the club will Uber you home at club expense so you don’t have to be responsible for drinking irresponsibly. :)

Personal Locker Space - Studio Equipment:

Lockers are available to full members for stashing personal reserves and kindred ‘special occasion’ spirits. One time 20.00 transfer fee and it’s yours for the life of your membership. Full members may borrow studio equipment for no charge.

Activities:

Full members (and plus ones) may attend all club special events, workshops, fam jams, showcase performances, tournaments, theme parties and rehearsals (unless otherwise stipulated) at no additional charges. Only exception would be a concert from a headline act which may require a supplement. (which would depend on how much we pay the band) Musician members also have priority stage time as well as usage of all back line instruments and amps as desired.

Special Event Usage:

Full members may book the club for private friends and family events 4 times a year at no additional costs but must supply all food and drink and be responsible for the behavior and clean up of guests. Bands and a DJ may be available but not necessarily provided.

Overall BlasMo Cooperative Policy:

Full members can make suggestions and have voting rights with regards to club policies and overall direction of the club. BlasMo is a private club run as a capped membership cooperative and all potential memberships are subject to evaluation. Once the cap is reached, no more memberships will be issued. From that point new memberships must be transferred from previous. There are no guarantees.
